Recent graduate from the National College of Art and Design I am  a visual artist who creates vivid, often humorous images. I like to translate ideas into image, making photos that tell stories and convey concepts. I aim to meticulously create work that lies at the intersection of photography, art, and fashion styling/making. My use of everyday items and detailed work opens up new perspectives on the seemingly familiar.

 

My degree project is called Act Your Age. After doing a personal series photographing the homes of elderly women I became increasingly interested in the perceptions we have about elderly people. Using a huge range of both found and made objects I have created scenes and shots that challenge these perceptions. My approach is both playful and precise with the intention of making the viewer think twice about the subject they are looking at.
